The first claimed
real estate in Plano Texas occurred in1845, since then the
population of has grown to over 255,000. Today if

In1881 most of the
original city was destroyed by fire but some of the buildings

now hosts more then 1400 yearly events. Visitors and guests
are welcome to many special events continually held at Southfork Ranch.

city parks have two indoor pools and an outdoor pool,
21-court tennis center, municipal golf course, outdoor
learning center, playground, playground for handicapped
children, and a 15 miles long hike-and-bike trail that
connects seven parks.
Once a year Plano holds hot-air
balloon races generally the last week of September which
bestows to the city the honor of the Balloon Capital of Texas.
